Erkama respects your privacy. In this statement we explain which personal data we process when you visit erkama.com, contact us or use one of our apps, why we do so, and which rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who we are
Erkama is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this statement.
When you contact us. If you contact us via the contact form, by e-mail or by phone, we process the data you provide yourself, such as your name, company name, e-mail address, phone number and the content of your message.
When you visit the website. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security and to keep the website running. These logs may contain your IP address, browser type, the requested page and the time of your visit.
3. Data we do not collect
We do not use analytics or statistics tools.
We do not use tracking, advertising or social media cookies.
We do not build profiles and do not use automated decision-making.
We do not sell your data.
4. Purposes and legal basis
Answering your question or request and preparing a proposal or agreement: based on taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, or on our legitimate interest in responding to you.
Security and operation of the website (server logs): based on our legitimate interest in a secure and working website.
Complying with legal obligations, such as tax record-keeping once we work together.
5. Sharing with third parties
We only share personal data where necessary for the purposes above:
Hosting and e-mail provider: to host the website and receive your e-mail.
Google Fonts: the fonts on this website are loaded from Google's servers. Your browser then shares your IP address with Google.
Authorities: only if we are legally required to do so.
Where we use processors, we make agreements with them to protect your data.
6. Retention
We do not keep personal data longer than necessary. Correspondence that does not lead to a collaboration is deleted within 12 months at the latest. Data related to an agreement is kept as long as required by law, such as the 7-year fiscal retention period.
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access, such as an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and restricted access to our systems.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You can send a request to info@erkama.com. We respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
9. Children
Our website and consultancy services are aimed at businesses and are not directed at children under the age of 16. Apps that are used by children, such as SwipeBuddy, are set up and managed by a parent or guardian; see the chapter of that app.
10. Cookies & local storage
This website does not place cookies. We only use your browser's local storage for two functional preferences. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Apps
Erkama also publishes apps. This privacy statement applies to them as well; per app it says below which data the app processes. Each app has its own page to delete your account:
SwipeBuddy helps parents guide their family's screen use: time limits, pauses when swiping too much, bedtime and insight into usage. This covers the SwipeBuddy apps (for phone, tablet and TV, and SwipeBuddy Parent) and their server.
Who it is for. SwipeBuddy is designed solely for parents and guardians guiding the devices of their children, and for people who want to limit their own use. It must not be used to monitor another adult. On every guided device SwipeBuddy is visible, with its own icon and a persistent notification while it is active.
What data the app processes.

Security and abuse prevention
SwipeBuddy never reads the content of messages, what is typed, passwords, what is on the screen or which videos are watched. Typed characters and videos are only counted.
Permissions on the device. On the guided device SwipeBuddy asks, after an explanation and consent, for: usage access (how long apps are used), the accessibility service (which app is in front, counting swipes and taps, showing the pause screen), display over other apps (the pause screen), and optionally access to "now playing" (counting videos) and device administration (protection against removal). On iPhone and iPad SwipeBuddy uses Apple's Screen Time; data from it is used only for the parental controls themselves.
Legal basis. We process data to provide the service the parent signs up for (performance of a contract). Data about children is processed on behalf of and as instructed by the parent or guardian, who is responsible for it.
Sharing. We do not sell data, use it for advertising or share it with data brokers. Data is only processed by parties we need to provide the service:
Hosting of the server and database: TransIP, the Netherlands
Sending the email with the confirmation code: Microsoft (Microsoft 365)
Push notifications (once used): Apple and Google
Retention.
Usage per day: 400 days
Alerts: 180 days
Parent commands (such as extra time): 90 days
Pairing and unlock codes: 1 day after expiry
Account and family: until the account is deleted
Security. All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords and device keys are stored only as hashes. Data on the device is excluded from backups.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account yourself in the SwipeBuddy Parent app. Click here for instructions to delete your SwipeBuddy account, also if you no longer have the app. A single device can be unpaired at any time in the parent app.

Als u contact met ons opneemt. Neemt u contact op via het contactformulier, per e-mail of telefonisch, dan verwerken we de gegevens die u zelf verstrekt, zoals uw naam, bedrijfsnaam, e-mailadres, telefoonnummer en de inhoud van uw bericht.
Als u de website bezoekt. Onze hostingprovider houdt standaard serverlogs bij voor de beveiliging en de werking van de website. Deze logs kunnen uw IP-adres, browsertype, de opgevraagde pagina en het tijdstip van uw bezoek bevatten.
3. Gegevens die we niet verzamelen
We gebruiken geen analytics- of statistiektools.
We gebruiken geen tracking-, advertentie- of social-mediacookies.
We maken geen profielen en gebruiken geen geautomatiseerde besluitvorming.

4. Doelen en grondslag
Het beantwoorden van uw vraag of verzoek en het opstellen van een voorstel of overeenkomst: op basis van het nemen van maatregelen op uw verzoek voorafgaand aan een overeenkomst, of ons gerechtvaardigd belang om u te antwoorden.
Beveiliging en werking van de website (serverlogs): op basis van ons gerechtvaardigd belang bij een veilige en werkende website.
Het voldoen aan wettelijke verplichtingen, zoals de fiscale bewaarplicht zodra we samenwerken.
5. Delen met derden
We delen persoonsgegevens alleen als dat nodig is voor de bovenstaande doelen:
Hosting- en e-mailprovider: voor het hosten van de website en het ontvangen van uw e-mail.
Google Fonts: de lettertypen op deze website worden geladen vanaf servers van Google. Uw browser deelt daarbij uw IP-adres met Google.
Overheidsinstanties: alleen als we daartoe wettelijk verplicht zijn.
Met verwerkers maken we afspraken om uw gegevens te beschermen.
6. Bewaartermijnen
We bewaren persoonsgegevens niet langer dan nodig. Correspondentie die niet tot een samenwerking leidt, verwijderen we uiterlijk na 12 maanden. Gegevens die horen bij een overeenkomst bewaren we zolang de wet dat vereist, zoals de fiscale bewaartermijn van 7 jaar.
7. Beveiliging
We nemen passende technische en organisatorische maatregelen om uw gegevens te beschermen tegen verlies en onbevoegde toegang, zoals een versleutelde (HTTPS-)verbinding en beperkte toegang tot onze systemen.
8. Uw rechten
U heeft het recht op inzage, correctie en verwijdering van uw persoonsgegevens, het recht om de verwerking te beperken of er bezwaar tegen te maken, en het recht op overdraagbaarheid van uw gegevens. U kunt een verzoek sturen naar info@erkama.com. We reageren binnen een maand.
Bent u niet tevreden over hoe we met uw gegevens omgaan, dan kunt u een klacht indienen bij de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
9. Kinderen
Onze website en adviesdiensten zijn gericht op bedrijven en niet bedoeld voor kinderen jonger dan 16 jaar. Apps die door kinderen gebruikt worden, zoals SwipeBuddy, worden ingesteld en beheerd door een ouder of verzorger; zie het hoofdstuk van die app.
10. Cookies & lokale opslag
Deze website plaatst geen cookies. We gebruiken alleen de lokale opslag van uw browser voor twee functionele voorkeuren. Deze gegevens blijven op uw apparaat en worden niet naar ons verstuurd.

Apps
Erkama brengt ook apps uit. Deze privacyverklaring geldt ook daarvoor; per app staat hieronder welke gegevens de app verwerkt. Elke app heeft een eigen pagina om je account te verwijderen:
SwipeBuddy helpt ouders om het schermgebruik van hun gezin te begeleiden: tijdslimieten, pauzes bij te veel swipen, bedtijd en inzicht in gebruik. Dit geldt voor de SwipeBuddy-apps (voor telefoon, tablet en tv, en SwipeBuddy Ouder) en de bijbehorende server.
Voor wie. SwipeBuddy is uitsluitend bedoeld voor ouders en verzorgers die het gebruik van apparaten van hun kinderen begeleiden, en voor iemand die zijn eigen gebruik wil beperken. Het mag niet worden gebruikt om een andere volwassene te volgen. Op elk begeleid apparaat is SwipeBuddy zichtbaar, met een eigen icoon en een vaste melding zolang het actief is.

SwipeBuddy leest nooit de inhoud van berichten, wat er getypt wordt, wachtwoorden, wat er op het scherm staat of welke video's er bekeken worden. Van getypte tekens en video's worden alleen aantallen geteld.
Rechten op het apparaat. Op het begeleide apparaat vraagt SwipeBuddy, na uitleg en toestemming, om: gebruikstoegang (hoe lang apps gebruikt worden), de toegankelijkheidsdienst (welke app voorop staat, swipes en tikken tellen, het pauzescherm tonen), weergave over andere apps (het pauzescherm), en optioneel toegang tot "Nu aan het afspelen" (video's tellen) en apparaatbeheer (bescherming tegen verwijderen). Op iPhone en iPad gebruikt SwipeBuddy Apple's Schermtijd; gegevens daaruit worden alleen gebruikt voor het ouderlijk toezicht zelf.
Grondslag. We verwerken gegevens om de dienst te leveren die de ouder afneemt (uitvoering van de overeenkomst). Gegevens over kinderen verwerken we in opdracht van en op aanwijzing van de ouder of verzorger, die hiervoor verantwoordelijk is.
Delen met anderen. We verkopen geen gegevens, gebruiken ze niet voor reclame en delen ze niet met datahandelaren. Gegevens worden alleen verwerkt door partijen die we nodig hebben om de dienst te leveren:
